Male Infertility
Up to 50% of infertility involves a male factor — yet evaluation is often delayed. Proper assessment can identify treatable causes early and direct couples to the right care.
Structured Male Factor Workup
A proper male infertility evaluation goes beyond a single semen analysis. We assess sperm count, motility, morphology, DNA fragmentation where indicated, hormonal profile (testosterone, FSH, LH, prolactin), genetic testing in select cases, and physical examination including varicocele assessment.
When We Use It
- Couples trying for >12 months (or >6 months if female partner >35)
- Abnormal semen parameters on initial test
- History of testicular surgery, trauma, or undescended testis
- Family history of male infertility
- Treatments affecting fertility (chemo, certain medications)
Treatment depends on the cause — lifestyle, medical therapy, varicocele repair, surgical sperm retrieval, or IVF/ICSI. We do not jump to ART without first identifying treatable factors.
