Our Philosophy
Balaji Horizon was built around a specific clinical conviction: that women’s healthcare is over-medicalised at the wrong moments and under-investigated at the right ones. Heavy periods are normalised. Endometriosis is missed for a decade. IVF is offered before a proper diagnosis. Surgery is performed when it isn’t necessary, and avoided when it is. The result is poorer outcomes, more cumulative intervention, and broken trust.
Our practice is calibrated against that backdrop. We invest disproportionately in diagnosis — clinical examination, advanced ultrasound mapping, ovarian reserve assessment — before recommending any major treatment. We follow current ESHRE, ASRM, FIGO, ISUOG, ESGE, and AAGL guidance wherever evidence allows. We are equally willing to recommend no intervention when the evidence supports waiting.
Where surgery is right, we perform it with precision — Karl Storz 3D laparoscopy, ART Level 2 operation theatre, fertility-sparing technique. Where IVF is right, we run individualised protocols in our ART Level 2 laboratory under ESHRE-aligned standards. Where simpler approaches are sufficient, we recommend them first.

Dr. Patel founded Balaji Horizon to build a women’s healthcare institution around long-term outcomes rather than transactional volume. His clinical focus spans the full spectrum of advanced gynaecology and reproductive medicine — endometriosis excision and DIE surgery, IVF and fertility preservation, advanced laparoscopy on the Karl Storz 3D platform, and complex pelvic surgery. Dr. Shreya leads the fetal medicine and high-risk pregnancy programme. Her practice is calibrated to current FIGO and ISUOG recommendations, with particular focus on accurate, compassionate communication of complex prenatal findings.

Is Balaji Horizon a hospital or a clinic?
Both. Balaji Horizon Women’s Hospital on Science City Road is the main surgical and IVF hospital. Balaji Women’s Clinic in Naranpura (AEC) is the outpatient morning clinic. The same lead consultant — Dr. Priyadatt Patel — practises at both locations.
Which location should I choose for my first consultation?
Either is appropriate for an initial consultation. The Hospital is preferred if you anticipate ultrasound, advanced imaging, or are likely to need surgical or IVF planning. The AEC clinic is ideal for early-morning consultations and outpatient follow-up.
Do you treat patients from outside Ahmedabad?
Yes. Patients travel to us from across Gujarat and from other Indian states for endometriosis, IVF, and complex laparoscopic surgery. We coordinate consultations and stay arrangements for out-of-station patients.
Is the hospital accredited?
