This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website (balajihorizon.com) and how we use, share, retain and protect it, with reference to the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011.

2. What data this website collects
- Contact data you provide: name, mobile, email, message text — only when you submit our consultation, enquiry or callback request forms.
- Analytics data: anonymous and pseudonymous interaction data (pages viewed, session duration, device type, approximate city-level location, scroll depth) collected via Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, Microsoft Clarity and PageSpeed Insights — used to improve site quality and patient education.

We do not collect, store or transmit clinical health information, scan reports, lab results, prescriptions or hospital EMR data through this website. All clinical records are held inside the hospital’s offline systems under separate, stricter controls.

We process personal data on the basis of your clear, specific and informed consent (Section 6, DPDP Act) and for the specified purpose for which you provided it — typically to respond to your enquiry, schedule a consultation, or improve the educational quality of this website.
4. Sharing and disclosure
- We do not sell, rent or trade personal data to third parties.
- We do not share enquiry data with pharmaceutical companies, insurers, TPAs, marketing networks or any commercial partner.
- Limited technical processors (web hosting, analytics, email delivery) handle data on our behalf under written contractual confidentiality. Processors include Hostinger (hosting), Google LLC (Analytics, Search Console, Workspace email), Microsoft Corporation (Clarity), and UpdraftPlus (encrypted backups).
- We may disclose information when required by law, judicial order, or to defend the hospital’s legal rights.
5. Retention
Form submissions are retained for up to 24 months unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Analytics data is retained per Google Analytics default (14 months). Backups are retained on a 30-day rotating window.
6. Your rights under the DPDP Act
- Right to access the personal data you have shared with us.
- Right to correction and erasure of inaccurate or outdated information.
- Right to withdraw consent at any time, with the same ease with which it was given.
- Right to grievance redressal — write to the email below; we will respond within 30 days.
- Right to nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of death or incapacity.
7. Security
The website is served over TLS 1.3, hardened with HSTS, and protected by ModSecurity rules at the host level. Administrative access uses unique credentials, IP-limited login and two-factor authentication. Code-level changes follow a backup-first protocol. Our broader institutional information-security practices are governed by our ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management certification (Bureau Veritas · UKAS · IND.25.899/QM/U).
