Frequently asked questions
How many IVF cycles will I need?
There is no single answer. Some couples conceive in the first cycle; others need two or three. Cumulative live-birth rates over several cycles give a more honest picture than a single-cycle figure, and your own chance depends mainly on age and ovarian reserve.
Is fresh embryo transfer or freeze-all better?
Neither is better for everyone. Large randomised trials show similar live-birth rates for most women. Freezing all embryos is preferred when there is a risk of ovarian hyperstimulation (OHSS), often in women with PCOS, or when hormone levels at the end of stimulation are unfavourable; otherwise a fresh transfer remains a good option.
Do you publish IVF success rates?
We do not publish clinic success rates as marketing, because a single headline figure rarely applies to an individual. The guide shares international reference data by age band, and we discuss your own chance honestly at consultation.
