PATIENT RESOURCES · ETHICS
Independent clinical decisions
Ethics commitments. Trust is the foundation of every clinical relationship. The commitments below are not marketing claims — they are operational principles by which we run the practice. They are also the standards by which we expect to be held accountable.
No clinician at Balaji Horizon receives kickbacks, referral fees, or commissions from laboratories, pharmacies, imaging centres, or specialist colleagues. Referrals are made on clinical merit alone.
Transparent indications
Surgery and IVF are recommended where they are clinically justified — not as defaults. We routinely advise patients against treatment they do not need, even when alternative treatment would be financially advantageous to us. The conversation about whether a procedure is the right step is one we welcome.
Fertility preservation as a default consideration
Where surgery may affect ovarian reserve, fertility is discussed before the procedure — not after. Patients with current or future fertility goals receive AMH assessment and a written conversation about implications before any decision.
Second opinions welcomed
If you are weighing a major treatment decision, a structured second-opinion consultation with another centre or with us is one of the most valuable steps you can take. We do not pressure patients to switch their primary care to us.
Honest outcome reporting
We report IVF outcomes as age-stratified live-birth-per-transfer rates — not headline pregnancy rates that exclude losses. We report surgical complication rates honestly. Where outcomes vary across patient profiles, we say so.
No exaggerated claims
We do not use language like “best”, “world-class”, “guaranteed success”, “100% success rate”, or “miracle”. These claims are not consistent with how medicine works. We discuss expected outcomes with honest numbers and realistic timelines.
Data protection
Patient medical information is handled in accordance with applicable data protection law including the Indian Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023. Information is shared only with consent, only with clinicians involved in care, and only as required by clinical or legal need.
Accountability
If you experience a deviation from these commitments — in your own care or in communication with the practice — please tell us. Email: balajiwomensclinic@gmail.com. Concerns are responded to personally by Dr. Priyadatt Patel.
These commitments are not aspirations. They are the operating standards of the practice.
