Photography, Imagery & Consent Policy
Last updated: 29 May 2026
From time to time the hospital photographs or records video inside its facility — for example for educational documentation, internal training, accreditation evidence, or for use on this website and on the hospital’s social channels. This policy explains how that is governed.
1. Patient images — strict consent rule
- No patient is ever photographed or filmed for external use without their written, informed, time-bound consent.
- Pregnancy ultrasound images and scan reports belong to the patient and are not shared on social media by the hospital.
- Pre/post-operative photographs are taken only when clinically necessary, stored within the medical record, and are not used externally without separate consent.
- Patients have the right to withdraw consent at any time, after which existing images are removed from public-facing surfaces as far as technically feasible.
2. Children and minors
Consent for any image of a minor is taken in writing from a parent or legal guardian. Identifiable images of children are not used on this website.
3. Visitors and attendants
CCTV operates in the lobby, corridors and reception zones for security purposes. Footage is retained for a limited period and reviewed only on legitimate need. We do not publish CCTV footage of visitors.
4. Staff and clinicians
Photographs and video of the hospital’s clinicians and staff used on this website are taken with their consent and are reviewed periodically for accuracy.
5. AI-generated imagery
We do not publish AI-generated images that depict or impersonate named hospital clinicians. Decorative illustrations used on educational pages are clearly stylised and are not represented as real procedures, real patients or real outcomes.
6. Removal requests
If you believe an image on this website has been used without proper consent — your own, or that of a person you represent — write to balajiwomensclinic@gmail.com. We will respond within 7 working days and remove the image while reviewing.
This policy works alongside our editorial and content standards.
