What to expect
Your first consultation lasts about 45–60 minutes. Dr. Priyadatt Patel reviews your history and any prior reports, performs a focused examination and often an ultrasound, and explains your diagnosis and prioritised options in plain language — so you leave with clarity and defined next steps, not a list of unanswered questions. No referral is needed to book.
What to bring
- Photo ID (Aadhaar / passport / driving licence)
- All prior reports — ultrasound, MRI, blood work, and semen analysis if applicable
- Surgical or procedure notes from earlier operations (laparoscopy / hysteroscopy)
- A current list of your medications with doses
- A menstrual diary for the last three cycles, if relevant
- A short written list of your main concerns and questions
- Your partner, if you are planning fertility care
What happens at the visit
- History — an unhurried conversation about your symptoms, history and goals.
- Examination — a focused, respectful clinical examination.
- Ultrasound — often performed on the day where helpful.
- Explanation — your diagnosis and options, in plain language.
- A prioritised plan — clear next steps, with the least invasive appropriate option first.
How long it takes
We allow about 45–60 minutes for a first consultation, and we don’t rush. Bringing your reports and a written symptom timeline helps us make the most of the time and avoid repeating tests unnecessarily.
Our approach
Our care is evidence-based, fertility-sparing and honest. We avoid unnecessary surgery, set realistic expectations, and never overpromise outcomes — fibroids and endometriosis are managed conservatively first, and surgery or IVF is recommended only when it is genuinely the right step. Not sure where your concern fits? Start with our women’s health conditions guide. More about Dr. Priyadatt Patel.
Where to come
We have two locations in Ahmedabad, and Dr. Patel practises at both:
Hospital — Science City Road, Sola
Full hospital care: surgery, IVF, 3D/4D scans and delivery. Open 11:00 AM–8:00 PM, Mon–Sat.
Clinic — AEC, Naranpura
Early-morning consultations and follow-ups, 8:30–10:30 AM, Mon–Sat.
Want a second opinion?
Second opinions are welcome — especially for endometriosis surgery decisions, IVF protocol selection, and high-risk pregnancy planning. Bring your existing reports; we will not repeat tests unnecessarily. See our second-opinion guidance.

“A first gynaecology visit should feel like a conversation, not a procedure β history first, examination only where needed, and every step explained.”Dr. Priyadatt Patel, MBBS, MS (OBGYN)
